Insulating Your Garage Door
Garages are often freezing cold or overwhelmingly warm, depending on the season. Some people use their garages as work areas, whereas others use them for storage. Whatever use you have for yours, consider insulating your garage door. It will help to control the conditions that you work in or that your belongings are exposed to.
In this video, you will learn how to effectively add insulation to your garage door.
When adding your insulation, it is important to not use glue. Because the metal panels expand and contract depending on the weather conditions, the glue will not hold true while those changes occur. To start you will want to measure each panel’s dimensions. You can mark the dimensions right on the door itself. Rather than glue, you can use pieces of wood to hold. Once you have the appropriate dimensions, you can slide the pieces of insulation underneath the support beams as well. Once you have the measurements, the process is rather simple.
