What Is Electroplating?
Electroplating is a process that allows for a change in the materials of an object. Rather than directly change the material, however, it coats over the object with a new material, changing only the outside. Electroplating companies offer many different types of services so that all needs can be met no matter what the reason for needing electroplating might be. In some cases, it is for a functional need and in others, it is for aesthetics.
In this video, you will learn how electroplating works.
Electroplating uses electricity in order to work. A solution is charged using a system of a battery and two electrodes. The type of electrodes is chosen with care depending on the type of material that will be used for the electroplating. The process sees a transfer of ions between electrodes through the solution due to the electric current. A stronger electric current will cause the process to speed up.
