The process of making jewelry can vary depending on which type of jewelry is being made, as well as, what materials are used. Rings are some of the most iconic pieces of jewelry, as engagement rings are a very important part of our society. In this article, we are going to be taking a look at what goes into making a ring.
The first step that should be taken when you are making a ring, is 3D mapping. The ring is going to be mapped out on the computer in 3D just the way that the client wants it to look.
Once the design is mapped out the ring is then rendered to look exactly how it will when the process is complete. The next step in the process involves taking the 3D mapping of the ring and 3D printing it. The reason for this is so that you can make a mold of the ring.
Once you have the mold of the ring you are going to use, along with the materials that you have decided to use for the ring, you are going to pour the liquid form of whatever material you choose into the mold. Once the base of the ring is complete you can add any diamonds or other designs that you may want.
