Whats With the Red Tide off the West Coast of Florida?
There is something to be concerned about when you see the red tide off of the coast of Florida. This is something that could pose a potential health risk to yourself and others. You certainly don’t want to put yourself in a position like this, but you need to know that the road tide off of Florida is something that is commonly seen.
The species that causes the red tide is Karenia brevis and it is known to flourish in saltwater environments such as those found off of the coast of Florida. In addition, it is also commonly spotted throughout various areas along the Gulf of Mexico.
Basically, anywhere that has the saltwater environment where this thing can thrive is exactly where it will grow.
You should avoid approaching the red tide anywhere that you might see it. This kind of growth has a high pH level, and it is possible that you might end up in a situation where you are exposed to something that you would prefer to not be exposed to. Therefore, you should make sure you avoid the areas where the red tide is no matter what it might look like.
